23 May Birthday Fun and Shrimp n Grits
I’m so excited because my birthday is here yet again! In past years I’ve gone all and had several parties throughout the month, lol! This year I’m settling for just one, and I hope you can make it to celebrate with me! It will be next Monday, May 30 in Venice and I am bringing in a live Salsa band again. Don’t worry if you don’t know Salsa because I will be teaching classes at the beginning of the evening. HERE is the info.
My trip last month to Mexico City choreographing for Sense8 was AMAZING! It was awesome creating beautiful dance sequences with the actors, who gave 100% percent every single time we rehearsed, which made my job a lot easier. My favorite part was working head to head with Lana Wachowski and James McTeigue on set. It was incredibly surreal because these are the same people that created The Matrix, so it was a very humbling experience. I can’t wait to show it to you, but the episode won’t air until 2017, so I will keep you updated.
To finish up I want to share a recipe for shrimp and grits. I know this sounds random, but I just got back from a trip to Savannah, Georgia where I had them for the first time, and I’m still salivating when I
think about them. Although they are probably not the healthiest dish, theytaste heavenly. Savannah is a beautiful city as well, so if you haven’t been there I highly recommend that you check it out. Here is a fun recap video of some of my adventures on the trip.
That’s it for now, Hope to see you soon!
